# Add and invite clients

Under **Clients** you manage all client workspaces of your firm. You can create a workspace right away and invite the client to the client portal now or later.

## Create a client workspace

1. Go to **Clients** and click **Add client**.
2. Choose **Create client workspace** (start bookkeeping now, invite later).
3. Enter the **Company name**. Use the **KvK number** to look up the company, then check the address, **Postal code**, **City**, **Country code** and optionally the **Legal form**.
4. Want to invite the client straight away? Enter the **Client email** under **Client portal** (optional).
5. Click **Create client**.

## Invite a client

1. Under **Add client**, choose **Invite client** (or **Invite to portal** on an existing client).
2. Under **Client**, pick an existing workspace or **New client (no workspace yet)**.
3. Enter the **Email** and click **Send invitation**.

## Good to know

- The invitation link is valid for 7 days. Resend it from the **Invitations** tab.
- If a KvK number is already linked to your firm, Booko warns you about a duplicate workspace.
- Clients who sign up themselves with your connect code appear as connection requests (see "Connect code and connection requests").
- Whether you may invite or remove clients depends on your role. By default the **Owner** and **Senior Accountant** can invite clients; only the **Owner** can remove clients.

## Still stuck?

- **The invitation could not be sent.**? Check the email address and try again.
- Don't see the button? Ask your firm owner to check your role.
- A client who already has their own Booko account, wrong links, or a client belonging to another firm? Ask for a colleague in the chat.
