# Connect your accountant with a code

Does your accountant use Booko? Then the firm gives you a connect code, for example BK-7F3K-9QPW. You use it to request a connection.

## Steps

1. While setting up your administration, choose **Yes, I have an accountant**.
2. Enter the code under **Your accountant's code**.
3. Click **Send code**.
4. You'll see **Request sent to [firm] — you can continue already**. You can start using Booko right away.
5. Once the firm accepts your request, you'll see **You're connected to [firm]**.

## Good to know

- Until the firm approves your request, it only sees your name, email address and company name.
- No code? Click **I don't have a code** or ask your accountant for it.
- Changed your mind? Click **Withdraw request**.
- If your firm pays for your subscription, you'll see **[firm] pays for your subscription**.
- If the firm declines your request, you can try another code or continue without an accountant.

## Still stuck?

- **We don't recognise this code.** Check the code (including the dashes) or ask your accountant for a new one. Firms can replace their code; an old code then stops working.
- **Too many attempts.** Wait a moment and try again later.
- Already finished onboarding and want to connect an accountant now? Ask your accountant to invite you, or ask for a colleague in the chat.
