# Create a Booko account

Creating an account takes a few minutes. You confirm your email address and then choose whether you use Booko as a business owner (client) or as an accountant.

## Steps

1. Go to **app.booko.nl**.
2. Open the **Sign Up** tab.
3. Enter your **Full Name**, **Email** and **Password** (at least 6 characters).
4. Click **Sign Up**. You'll see **Check your email**.
5. Open the email from Booko and click the confirmation link.
6. On the **Welcome to Booko** screen, choose **Client** if you want to keep your own books, then click **Continue as Client**.
7. Next, you set up your administration (see "Set up your administration").

Tip: if you see **Continue with Google**, you can also sign in with your Google account.

## Are you an accounting firm?

New firms are set up together with Booko. Contact us in the chat and a colleague will help you.

## Good to know

- Invited by your accountant? Don't create a new account; use the link in the invitation email (see "Accept an invitation from your accountant").
- Booko support will never ask for your password or login codes in chat.

## Still stuck?

- No confirmation email? Check your spam or junk folder and make sure the email address is correct.
- Getting an error when signing up, or want to open a firm account? Ask for a colleague in the chat.
