What does Booko cost?
There are two plans: Starter at €9.95 per month and Pro at €19.95 per month, both excluding VAT. Pro includes more AI classifications, users and bank accounts, plus recurring invoices and year-end.
Do I have to pay now?
Not if your plan says "You don't pay anything yet". As soon as payments through Booko are possible, we'll let you know and you'll have 14 days to add your payment details.
What's the difference between Starter and Pro?
Starter: 100 AI classifications per month, 1 user, 1 bank account. Pro: 500 AI classifications, 3 users, 3 bank accounts, plus recurring invoices and year-end closing and annual report.
What happens when I reach my AI classification allowance?
Bookkeeping keeps working as usual. For more room, switch to Pro under Settings > Subscription.
How do I change my plan?
Go to Settings > Subscription, click "Change plan" and choose Starter or Pro. Only the owner of the administration can do this.
My accountant pays for my subscription. Do I need to do anything?
No. You'll see "Subscription through your accountant". Your accounting firm handles changes.
Which files can I upload?
PDF or images (such as JPG, PNG, WEBP, HEIC, BMP and TIFF), up to 10 MB per file.
Can I email invoices instead of uploading them?
Yes. Click "Upload invoice", expand "Send invoices by email" and create an address for the costs inbox or revenue inbox.
What does "Needs check" mean?
The AI isn't confident enough or something is missing. Open the invoice via Costs > To review > Review and compare the details with the document.
How do I fix a wrong amount or date on an invoice?
Open the invoice with "Review", click "Edit" under Invoice details, correct it and click "Save".
How do I connect my bank?
Go to Settings > Bank connections > "Connect bank", choose your bank and the years, and give permission at your own bank. We never ask for your bank details in chat.
My bank isn't listed. What now?
Download an MT940, CAMT.053 or CSV file from your bank and import it via Transactions > "Import transactions".
My bank connection has expired. What should I do?
Go to Settings > Bank connections and click "Renew access". Then give permission again at your bank.
Can Booko file my VAT return?
Not yet. Booko calculates the boxes; you file it yourself in Mijn Belastingdienst, or your accountant handles it. For tax advice, please ask your accountant.
How do I connect my accountant?
While setting up your administration, choose "Yes, I have an accountant" and enter your firm's connect code (for example BK-7F3K-9QPW). The firm approves the request.
How do I create a sales invoice?
Click "New invoice", fill in Customer details and Line items, review the invoice and click "Create Invoice" or "Create and send".
Does Booko send payment reminders automatically?
No, automatic payment reminders are not available yet.
I forgot my password. What now?
On the sign-in screen, click "Email me a magic link" to sign in without a password. To set a new password, ask for a colleague in the chat. Never share your password or login codes in chat.
My magic link isn't arriving. What can I do?
Check your spam, make sure you use the right email address and wait a minute before requesting again. Always use the newest link.
Why was I signed out?
After 30 minutes without activity you're signed out automatically. Just sign in again.
How do I turn on two-step verification?
Go to Settings > Account & security > Two-step verification > "Manage" and follow the steps with an authenticator app.
How do I download my data or close my account?
Under Settings > Privacy & data: "Request export" for your data, or "Request account closure". Requests are reviewed first.
I'm an accountant. Where do I find our connect code?
The firm owner finds it under Settings > Connect clients. Approve connection requests under Clients.
Will Booko support ever ask for my password or bank details?
No. We never ask for passwords, login codes, bank credentials, IBAN or BSN in chat. Don't share them with anyone.
