Privacy: download your data or close your account

Under Settings > Privacy & data you handle your privacy matters yourself.

Download your data

1. Go to Settings > Privacy & data.
2. Under Download your data, click Request export.
3. When you see Your data export is ready to download., the export downloads to your device. Earlier exports appear under Export history.

Product analytics on or off

Under Privacy preferences > Product analytics you choose whether Booko may collect usage statistics (no amounts, names or form input). This applies per browser.

Close your account or another privacy request

1. Under Account closure, click Request account closure, or open Other privacy requests and request history.
2. Choose the Request type: for example Correct personal data, Restrict processing, Object to processing or Request data erasure.
3. Optionally add Additional information (optional) and click Send request.
4. Follow the status under Request history (Submitted, In progress, Completed).

Good to know

• A request is reviewed first. Your account and bookkeeping records are not deleted immediately.
• Financial records are kept for 7 years where Dutch fiscal law requires it.
• You can also email privacy questions to privacy@booko.nl.

Still stuck?

Erasure and closure requests are always handled by a colleague; the chat can't delete anything. Ask for a colleague in the chat if you can't submit a request or have questions about its status.
